Shit's
Gettin'
Real
The brand strategy intensive for established service providers ready to attract premium clients, command bigger fees, and step into their grown-up era.
you and i both know
You're good.Very good.
You get results for your clients, you hit consistent 4-figure months, and you have a waiting list of people dying to work with you; the you of 5 years ago wouldn’t believe where you are now.
But now you are here it’s not enough; you want more: bigger clients, higher fees, and to actually take a breath and enjoy the success you’ve built – so far – all on your own.
The problem is you’re too fucking in your business to be able to work on your business. And working on your business is exactly what needs to happen before you can take the next step.
you need a massive change…
You need a brand that...
Does the talking for you when you’re not in the room
Commands the fees you’re too embarrassed to ask for now
Attracts the right people and disqualifies the wrong ones
What if your brand was your ultimate client-generating wingman?
What if every pre-sale touch point supported every other, to flaunt your worth, attract your dream clientele, and to make their yes not only easy… but inevitable?
What if you could say
off you fuck
to all this bullshit?
- Cringing whenever you send someone to your website
- Variations of the same message you’ve been repeating since your first year
- Explaining your value to people who still want to haggle
- Clients who don't get it until they've already worked with you
- Rewriting your about page for the fourth time and it still not feeling right
- Charging less than you're worth because your brand can't back up the bigger numbers
And instead, say
hell yeah!
to awesomeness
- A brand that speaks for you when you’re not in the room – with your voice
- Dream enquiries landing who are sold before you’ve ever spoken to them
- Everything looking and sounding like it came from the same person – because your creative team all started from the same brief
- Feeling confident and proud when someone tells you they found your website
- Being sought out in your field without ever having to look or chase work again
introducing
Shit's Gettin'Real
A 1:1 brand strategy intensive for established solo service providers who are ready to step into their grown-up era.
Over four phases, we’ll excavate everything that makes you and your business exceptional, map out where you want to be, define how your brand needs to feel, look, and sound to get you there, and build every document your creative team needs to bring it to life, so you can hand it over with total confidence and get out of your own way.
and for you, the most incredible
Founder client
opportunity
Shit’s Gettin’ Real is a brand new offer, so I’ve never run it with a client before; which is great news for you.
As one of just three founding clients I’m accepting into this phase you won’t be just going through a process; you’ll be helping to shape it.
Your feedback, experience, and honest assessment of what works and what doesn’t will directly influence what SGR becomes; so you’ll have more say over how this offer evolves than anyone who comes after you.
phase one
The Audit
Before we can build anything, we need to know exactly what we’re working with.
You’ll complete an in-depth discovery questionnaire covering your offers, your audience, your goals, your marketing channels, and where you want to take this thing. Then you’ll hand over everything you’ve already got — your website, your sales pages, your social channels, your collateral — and I’ll go through all of it.
The output is a full brand audit: a clear picture of where you are, what’s working, what isn’t, and what we’re building towards. By the end of this phase, you’ll feel more understood than you have in years.
phase two
The Foundation
This is where it starts to get exciting.
Using everything we uncovered in Phase 1, I’ll build the strategic and creative foundation of your brand – defining your voice, mapping your visual direction, and pulling together the moodboards and frameworks that will shape everything that comes after.
You’ll review, react, and refine until it feels right. By the end of this phase you’ll have the full picture of your brand — how it sounds, how it looks, and exactly where it’s going.
For the first time, it’ll all make sense.
phase three
The Brand Suite
This is where everything comes together.
I’ll produce the full suite of brand documents — your core brand strategy, voice guidelines, design guidelines, photography guidelines, and website direction — everything your creative team needs to hit the ground running without a single briefing call from vibes.
I’ll also put together recommendations for the right designer, copywriter, and web developer for your project — warm introductions to people I trust, not a cold directory to wade through yourself.
phase four
The Handover
We’ll walk through everything together so you know exactly what you’ve got and how to use it. Then I’ll make the introductions, hand over the documents, and you’re off.
As a founding client, I’ll also ask you to sit down with me for a case study interview and leave a testimonial. That’s the deal — a significantly reduced rate in exchange for your honest experience.
Here’s everything you’ll get
Once you’re onboarded you’ll be asked to complete a comprehensive questionnaire to cover everything that matters when it comes to your existing brand, to join me on a call to dig deep into your vision of your business’ future, and to provide me with everything I need to get to know your business inside and out.
Throughout our time together I will create and hand over to you:
01 / Full Brand Audit
A clear-eyed assessment of everything you currently have; what’s working, what isn’t, and what the gap is between where your brand is and where your business actually is.
02 / Brand Strategy
The foundation document. Who you are, who you serve, what you stand for, and how your brand needs to show up to get you where you’re going.
03 / Cross-Channel Voice Guidelines
How you sound across every context — social, website, sales, email, delivery. Written so anyone you hand it to can pick it up and sound like you by day two.
04 / Visual Design Brief
What your brand needs to communicate visually, and why. Moodboards, intentions, and visual personality – everything your designer needs to start in the right place.
05 / Photography Brief
Art direction for your brand shoot – style, mood, shot types, and what to avoid – so your photographer delivers images that work with everything else.
06 / Website Brief
What your website needs to say, who it’s speaking to, and the voice it needs to say it in. A brief your copywriter and web designer can actually use.
07 / Social Media Strategy Brief
our brand translated into social — the voice, the direction, and the guardrails that keep everything consistent across platforms.
08 / Warm Introductions to Creatives
Personal introductions to designers, copywriters, photographers, and web developers that are matched to your project, and ready to hit the ground running.
You can get all this for the founder fee of just
$2,500
only three founder client spots open
no fee 50/50 split pay option available

ANSWERS
Is Shit's Gettin' Real right for you?
Because it’s not going to be right for everyone, and I want to make sure whoever gets chosen is going to get as much benefit as they possibly can from it.
If this is you, then it's a
hell yeah!
- You're consistently hitting 4-figure months and your clients get real results, but your brand still looks like it belongs to the version of you from three years ago.
- You've rewritten your about page and social bios more times than you can count, but they still don't feel right.
- You know you're ready to raise your prices – you might have already done it – but every time someone lands on your website you hold your breath and cringe.
- You're so deep in delivering for your clients that the work you need to do on your own brand keeps getting bumped down the priority list.
- You know something has to change. You just haven't had the time, the clarity, or the outside perspective to know where to start.
If this is you, then it's a
hell no...
- Your business is still in the first year, or you still feel like you’re in ‘startup mode, and haven't quite seen the consistency of enquiries or income you're aiming for.’
- You think the problem you have can be solved with colors, fonts, photos, or a new logo.
- You just want the copy on your website or a tone of voice refresh.
- You’re looking for more of a systems and processes solution to streamline your back-end. SGR is about everything the client sees; the behind-the-scenes stuff is a different conversation entirely.
- You're happy to carry on as you are for a while, and don't feel like you're truly ready to take the next step just yet.
The Shit's Getting Real intensive is the shortcut to ditching the startup brand that's stopping you from stepping into your grown-up era.
What makes Shit’s Get’n Real different from a rebrand?
first of all, this isn’t a rebrand
01 / It's the foundation for everything that follows
A rebrand starts at the surface. SGR starts underneath everything.
It’s the foundation that every logo, colour, font, photograph, word, and web page will be built on. Get the foundation wrong and the rebrand is just a new coat of paint on a cracked wall.
02 / You only brief once
The work we do now means every creative you hire – designer, photographer, copywriter, social media strategist, web developer – works from the same brief.
You brief once, saving you time and money; and everything you get back is cohesive, as if you’ve hired a single team.
03 / You get an outsider's perspective
Because no matter how self-aware or capable you are, you cannot see what someone else sees when they encounter your brand for the first time when you’re so in the weeds of your day-to-day.
Oh, and obviously you need to know who I am
Hey, I'm Jo
BRAND STRATEGIST & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
I’ve spent the last 20 years working in and around creative businesses – as a magazine editor, a graphic designer, a project manager, and an operations director, and more. I know what a strong brand looks like from the inside, and I know what it costs when it isn’t right.
In 2025 I built my own brand from scratch, in public, from a single profile photo to a 13,000-follower Threads account, a product suite, and a business I’m proud of. I did the exact work I’m asking you to do – and I did it on myself first; to prove I could.
I’m not a brand coach with a framework I learned on a course. I’m a strategist who has lived this process for two decades, built the proof, and now wants to do for you what I did for myself.
I’m also – and this matters – not you; which means I’ll see things you can’t. I’ll ask the questions you haven’t thought to ask, pull on the threads you’re too close to your business to see, and I’m not afraid to tell you the truth about what’s working and what’s not, even if it’s uncomfortable.
Now pay attention because I’ve got
The answers to all your questions
How long does the project take?
As this is a brand new offer I can’t say that for certain, but right now I’m expecting SGR to take 6 weeks, start to finish.
How much input do I need to give; how much of my time does this require?
The first two weeks will require the most from you — you’ll be completing the discovery questionnaire and pulling together everything I need to audit your business as it stands. After that your input is mostly reviews and approvals while I do the heavy lifting.
What exactly do I get at the end?
The full suite of brand documents — your core brand strategy, voice guidelines, design guidelines, photography guidelines, and website direction. Everything your creative team needs to hit the ground running without a single briefing call from vibes.
You’ll also get warm introductions to the right designer, copywriter, and web developer for your project — people I trust, not a cold directory to wade through yourself.
As a founding client, the deliverables may evolve as we go — that’s part of what makes this rate what it is.
What happens if I'm not happy with the work?
Nothing progresses without your approval. There are review touchpoints built into every phase – the audit, the mapping, the voice work, the visual direction – so by the time we get to the final documents, nothing in them should surprise you. This is collaborative by design.
Is there a payment plan?
Absolutely.
You can either pay in full upfront or take the no-fee 50/50 split pay option.
50% ($1,250) secures your founding member spot, and the remaining 50% ($1,250) is due before the final documents are handed over.
I'm not sure I'm established enough; is this right for me?
If you’re second-guessing yourself, check the ‘is this right for me’ section, above.
If you feel like you’re on the first list, then Shit’s Get’n Real is probably right for you and you’ll likely see a huge transformation in your business and your life. If you’re on the second list then I wouldn’t recommend applying for a founder member place.
I've already had a rebrand; do I still need this?
That depends. If your rebrand fixed it — if you feel confident in how you’re showing up, you’re attracting the right clients, and your brand is holding your price point — then probably not.
But if something still feels off, if the new colours and fonts didn’t change the feeling, if you still hold your breath when you send someone to your website – that’s usually a sign the strategy piece was missing.
A rebrand changes how you look. Shit’s Get’n Real is going to fix everything that’s underneath.
I've already got a designer/copywriter; can I still use them?
Absolutely. The briefs we produce are designed to be handed to whoever you’re already working with. If you have people you trust, this just means they’ll finally have everything they need to do their best work for you.
I've never heard of you; how do I know this is going to work?
Honestly? You don’t. That’s exactly why the founding member rate I’m offering exists – you’re taking a chance on me, and the massive reduction in the investment reflects that.
What I can tell you is that I’ve spent 20 years working in and around creative businesses, seeing the work and the decisions that go into projects just like this, and I’ve been through this exact process on my own brand.
I need your results, your case study, and your testimonial to earn the right to charge the full value of the investment to the next person, so you can bet I’m gonna make bloody sure I’m doing a good job for you.
Why is it discounted; am I missing something?
Nothing is missing. You’re getting the full experience – every phase, every document, every deliverable.
The rate is lower because you’re one of the first. I haven’t run this with a client before, and while I’m confident in the work, that’s a risk you’re taking on. In exchange for the reduced rate I’ll ask you for a case study interview and a testimonial at the end. That’s the deal.
What does the case study/testimonial requirement actually involve?
A recorded call where I’ll ask you about your experience of the process and the results you’ve seen. I’ll use the recording for the sales page and either ask you for a written testimonial separately or pull quotes from the transcript. It’s straightforward and I’ll make it as painless as possible, but it is a condition of the founding member rate, so it’s non-negotiable.
Will the price go up after the founder member round?
Yes. The full rate will be at least $5,000 – possibly more, depending on what the founding round tells me about the value of the work.
The $2,500 founding member rate exists once, for three people, and then it’s gone.
I'm really busy! How do I fit this in?
I won’t waste your time on anything unnecessary. But I’m also not going to pretend this requires zero effort from you.
The first two weeks will ask the most of you, and after that it’s mostly reviews and approvals.
What I will say is that if taking this next step – and doing it properly – is something you really want for your business, it’s going to be 100% worth setting aside the time for it.
What if I already know what my brand should look and sound like?
If you genuinely know – you’re clear on the strategy, the voice, the visual direction, and you just need someone to execute it – then you might not need this, and you can go straight to the creatives instead.
But in my experience, most people who think they know what they need discover something different when they actually do the work… not because they’re wrong, but because it’s so hard to take an objective look at something we’re so close to.
It’s also worth bearing in mind that if you need to bring in multiple creatives, a strategy project can save you time and money by creating briefs for all of them in one go upfront, so they can just crack on with the work they need to do from the get-go.
How do I apply to be a founder member?
All you need to do is scroll right to the bottom of this page and fill in the form. I’ll review your details and come back to you to discuss further within one business day (but probably sooner).
and now I’ve got one final question for you…
just imagine, six weeks from now
You can see it. All of it.
The business you’ve been building towards, the clients you actually want, the fees that mean you can take on fewer of them and still earn more. The holiday you’ll book without calculating whether you can afford to be away. For the first time, it feels real.
The startup brand – the one that never quite fit, the one you’ve been apologising for in small ways for years – is done. What’s coming next is the grown-up era you’ve been ready for for so long now.
Your photographer knows the shoot, your designer knows the brief, your copywriter knows the voice, the new site is just weeks away; everyone’s ready. You’re not waiting anymore; you’re on the brink.
Here's some food for thought
A presence that hasn’t kept pace with your business is actively working against you, and costing you more every day: the enquiries that go cold when your socials, site, and sales docs don’t match; the calls that start off with apologies or explanations; the referrals that bring in the same kinds of clients you’re desperate to move away from.
Whether it’s time, money, or sanity, the question isn’t whether you can afford to fix it; it’s whether you can afford not to.
There are three founding member spots. When they’re gone, the Shit’s Gettin’ Real fee goes up to at least $5,000.
I’m not here to convince you. If you’re ready, you already know.
So, now you're ready...
Fill in the form below to apply for one of the three founding member spots. Tell me why you think you should be considered for this opportunity, and I’ll be in touch within one business day to chat.
